On this screen you will set up your different freight carriers, these carriers are for both sales and purchases. Each carrier can have a different GL account or they can all be the same depending on what your accountant or accounting department advises. Splitting each carrier into a different GL account simplifies reporting as to how much you are spending with each carrier.

If you use your own trucks for shipping or if you have divided an area into fixed loading zones. Then add the fixed cost to the transport company to save time of typing the amount in each order. There is also a field for transport insurance...
